Biography

Jahongir Artikkhodjayev began his entrepreneurial career in the early 2000s by founding Akfa Group, which quickly grew into one of Uzbekistan’s largest industrial and investment holdings. Through strategic leadership and diversification into construction, energy, and manufacturing, he built a strong reputation as one of the country’s most influential business figures.

In 2018, he was appointed as the mayor (hokim) of Tashkent, where he focused on urban modernization, smart infrastructure, and attracting foreign investment. After leaving public office in 2023, he returned to business, launching major real estate and hospitality projects, including partnerships with global hotel brands.
